Timber Sale Contract & Marketing

There are a number of elements needed to create a successful timber sale: timber marking, a timber sale contract, marketing,  and diligent timber sale over-site/administration.

During the timber marking process, trees are marked with paint at chest height and on the stump. Each tree is measured and tallied and  then tree volumes are calculated. These volumes are used to determine the value of the standing timber which will be utilized when offering the timber to buyers.  A detailed contract will be written with information about the available timber and rules to be followed during harvesting activities. This legally binding contract provides detailed payment requirements and harvesting guidelines, which will protect the health, aesthetics, and sustainable management of your property.
